3. Cable Will Fix Everything!

Undoubtedly the silliest - and most fun - theory amongst X-Men movie fans is that Cable is going to show up, essentially click his fingers, and fix the countless continuity issues that have plagued the franchise since its creation. Granted, X-Men: Days Of Future Past undid most of what has happened, but it still doesn't explain everything and the movie had a few issues itself, so a character who has been noticeably missing from the franchise turning up and sorting it all out would appease those who can't understand why a guy who is such an integral part of X-Men lore has not been included in the live action movies yet. Of course, if it was to occur (and it won't, because it's just a jokey theory), the version of Cable would have to be the one known as "God Cable" to his fans - the version who learned to suppress his Techno-Organic Virus and thus gained nearly unrivalled power (in addition to his usual telepathy and telekinesis, he also gained time travel and manipulation abilities, teleportation and forcefield generation, amongst other powers), which he used in an effort to make the world a better place in the same way fans want him to fix the problems in the movie world.
