This might seem like an odd choice, considering how recently the film came out and its perceived lightweight status. But it's actually a fascinating role that tackles head on the complicated issues of female promiscuity and its place in the American high school. Olive is an intelligent teenage girl going through life pretty much unnoticed by most of her school, until a rumor gets started that she lost her virginity to a college guy. Now branded the town slut, everyone is equal parts intrigued and repulsed by her. But instead of cowering in a corner, moaning over the loss of her reputation, Olive wears the word skank as a badge of honor.
