There's a reason Skyfall (2012) is one of the most rewatched movies of the 21st century.

On top of the truly spectacular action, world class supporting performances and Daniel Craig's outstanding turn as James Bond, there's also a ton of fine details which can be easily overlooked even after watching the flick more than a couple of times.

Take the scene where 007 and Q meet for the first time at the National Gallery. In this moment, Bond is beaten, broken down and seems like he's lost a step, which is what makes the painting the pair are staring at pretty interesting.

Joseph Mallord William Turner's 'The Fighting Temeraire' hangs on the wall in front of them, a painting which depicts one of the war ships involved in the Battle of Trafalgar being towed away to be scrapped. This seems to mirror the situation Bond finds himself in at that moment in time.

Then, after Bond defeats Silva (Javier Bardem) in the film's climactic battle, another painting with the 'Temeraire' in it can be seen hanging in the background when 007 meets the new M (Ralph Fiennes). Only this one shows the ship back in its prime in the thick of battle, much like Bond is as the film comes to an end.

You could say there's a boatload of fascinating hidden details in this mighty Brit flick...
