10 Awesome Horror Movies That Make No Sense Whatsoever

Stephen King has never been one to make things easy for us.

The master of modern horror loves a complicated plot twist or convoluted backstory or ambiguous ending. None of his works exemplify that better than Stanley Kubrick's adaptation of The Shining.

After Jack Torrance is left outside to freeze off the back of his crazed rampage, the camera slowly zooms in on a picture of the Overlook Hotel from 1921. But the movie is set in the '80s? How is Jack in two completely different timelines at once?

Mind = blown.

Much has been made over the ending of The Shining, with professional critics, scholars, and amateur buffs alike all contributing their theories as to how Jack is in the picture.

Once they work that out, maybe they can move onto the weird naked lady and the elevator full of blood. We'd like answers to those too, please.

In the end, the reason why all the bad stuff happens to the Torrance family doesn't matter. King love to stretch the psyche of his character through the supernatural and there are few better instances of this than in Kubrick's classic film.
