Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson are a creative partnership known for pushing the boat out when it comes to horror.

Their 2012 picture Resolution was heralded by many as a new spin on the tense, slow-burning horror film. 2014's Spring is about a man who travels to Italy because he's fallen in love with a octopus monster. And then there's The Endless from 2017.

Set in the same universe as Resolution, The Endless also stars Moorhead and Benson as two brothers who were once part of a cult. The film documents their journey back to said cult and what they find once they get there.

On a deeper level, The Endless is a film about two siblings trying to reconnect with one another. However, at face value, it's an absolutely manic film about aliens, time loops, and the most terrifying thing of all - physics!

Moorhead and Benson's filmmaking - as well as their decent performances - make The Endless really great to watch in spite of its very heavy sci-fi plot.

The Endless will make you feel very confused after you finish it, but you get the feeling that's sort of the point.
