And then, finally, when it seems that everything has been resolved and we have our tidy, happy ending, Will Ferrell informs his son that now he's allowed him into the basement to play with Lego, he's going to have to allow his youngster sister in there too. Cut back to the Lego world, where we see Duplo aliens invading, voiced over by a young girl who is, of course, Finn's younger sister, declaring, "We are from the planet Duplo, and we've come to destroy you!". Cut to black. This is a rare instance of blatant sequel bait that totally works: it's the logical next step for the series, and has so much comic potential. I'm just worried that as Lord and Miller are reportedly not writing the sequel, it won't have the same satirical bite and brilliant comic timing. Fingers crossed that they're still directing it.
