10 Awesome Movie Franchise Crossovers We're Dying To See

4. RoboCop vs. Terminator

Why It'd Be Awesome: There's already been an awesome RoboCop vs. Terminator comic book series and a super-cool Mega Drive video game we all loved playing as kids, so why not just make a movie out of it as well? The plot of the comic has RoboCop discovering that the technology used to bring him back from the dead has also been used by Skynet, and the rest of the arc has him trying to bring the tech overlords to their knees. That certainly sounds like something we'd watch, as long as there's awesome, drawn-out, city-wide battles between RoboCop and some scary terminators. Why It Might Not Work: That said, this is a project that would certainly have been a better idea in the mid-1990s if someone had been a little more enterprising. Still, some things are certainly better left off the big screen, and considering that James Cameron has made it clear he isn't a big fan of crossovers (though presumably let it slide for the "less consequential" comic and video game versions), it's unlikely he would have ever let this happen anyway. As for nowadays, even if it did happen, we'd probably have to settle for seeing Joel Kinnaman's limp PG-13 RoboCop take on a new Terminator character played by a young, up-and-coming actor, so it'd basically be nothing like the original idea anyway...
