10 Awesome Movie Franchise Crossovers We're Dying To See

3. Jay & Silent Bob & Harold & Kumar

Why It'd Be Awesome: Because not every crossover movie has to be about conflict and killing. Sometimes they can just be about smoking a bowl and having a good time. Now, we were tempted to throw Cheech and Chong into the mix as well, but we figured they would probably seem out of place given how similar in terms of age and sense of humour Jay and Silent Bob and Harold and Kumar are. They've got a lot in common: both pairings have had a ton of surreal s*** happen to them, they both love low-brow humour, and they both love getting blazed. How could this not succeed? Why It Might Not Work: There's no guarantee that pairing two like-minded properties together will result in success, and this is all the more ambiguous in a comedy. After all, there's absolutely no way Kevin Smith would allow another writer or director to make a Jay and Silent Bob movie without him, so he'd practically have to be in charge of it, but would he able to write Harold in Kumar in a way that a) retained their spirit and character from their own series and b) differentiated them from Jay and Silent Bob enough? If it ever got made, it'd probably be a mess of a film, but whether it'd be a good mess or not is anyone's guess...
