2. Rambo vs. Predator

Why It'd Be Awesome: There aren't many crossovers on this list better-suited than John Rambo and Predator. After all, Stallone's traumatised soldier has spent much of his cinematic tenure hunting men through jungles and on battlefields, so seeing him take on something superhuman in the jungle isn't exactly a huge leap. Remember when Rambo V was originally entitled "The Savage Hunt" and was going to feature Rambo hunting down a genetically-engineer super-soldier? Yeah, we want that, but replacing the goofy super-soldier idea with one of cinema's most terrifying creatures. Rambo having to use his cunning to evade Predator's advanced technology, Predator having to be mindful of Rambo's fierce survival skills: it has the potential to be awesome. Why It Might Not Work: For starters, Stallone is already 68 years old, and though he certainly doesn't look it, even if a Rambo vs. Predator movie was swiftly rushed into production, he'd probably be pushing 70 by the time it was done filming. Would a guy this old convincingly be able to beat a prime-of-his-life alien creature with an arsenal of awesome weaponry? In addition to this, we can't imagine many directors would just let Rambo and Predator stalk each other for 100 minutes: we'd probably have lots of unnecessary "extras" thrown in to pad the run-time out, which is exactly what we don't want. Maybe The Expendables vs. Predator would actually be a better idea (and it'd actually make The Expendables finally live up to their name)...
