7. Mission Impossible - Explosive Chewing Gum
Brian De Palma's thrilling spy actioner sees Tom Cruise squaring off against IMF director Eugene Kittridge during this tense scene, in which Kittridge believes that Hunt is the bad guy, and planned to have his teammates killed. Of course, Hunt didn't do it, and needs to find a way to extricate himself from this situation by any means necessary, pulling out a stick of his handy explosive chewing gum and hurling it with all his might onto a giant fish tank, which soon enough explodes. Though the gum is successful in allowing Hunt to escape, it also serves the less-savoury function of causing one poor, hapless IMF employee to be (hilariously) catapulted across the room with such force that he's probably killed. Though Hunt was put in a tough corner, do the ends really justify the means here?
