10 Awesome Movie Sequels (That Don't Make Sense At All)

4. But... Mike & Sulley Met In The 4th Grade! - Monsters University

Monsters_University_37037 Nowadays Pixar seem to have ceased making fresh and original movies, because they've realised that making sequels to their other, successful, already-branded flicks means that they'll probably make more money, which will - in turn - allow them to keep their jobs. Which explains why Monsters University is a thing now, even though - when you look back at the first movie - there's firm proof hidden within that shows us that it probably shouldn't exist. I mean, I'm glad that it does, because it's pretty awesome, but that doesn't mean it makes sense. Yes, what a mere throwaway line back at the time when Monsters Inc. came out has become an irritating point of inconsistency for those folk over at Pixar: refer back to the moment where monster Mike tells his bigger monster pal Sulley that " jealous of looks since the fourth grade." But given that Monsters University sets out to tell us the story of how these loveable companions met in university, that singular line renders the entire prequel completely senseless. Sure, you could argue that was just Mike being coy, but where's the fun in that?
