10 Awesome Movies With Awful Special Effects

6. Blade 2

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VA0Ch2_2o7I Guillermo del Toro is a fantastic director, and though his Blade 2 is hardly going to remembered as one of his best works, I still think it's a great movie on the whole, and miles ahead of the detestable Blade: Trinity. However, it is marred throughout by some of the worst fight scene animation known to man; just check out the above scene in which Blade takes on two martial artists, and shake your head in disbelief at the jerkiness of the battle. It's like they haven't even used human beings as reference for all the darting around; the physics of the fighting is all wrong. The characters resemble weightless puppets more than actual people; why they didn't just use wires is beyond me. However, at least both the director and star Wesley Snipes have had the good humour to rip it to pieces themselves on the DVD commentary.
