5. Independence Day (1996)
Now Sci-Fi, alien movies are the absolute best at stretching the realms of possibility, but many are smart enough to put in an explanation that makes some sort of sense in the context of the film's universe. Others just decline to put any sort of science in whatsoever to avoid it being questioned. In Roland Emmerich's disaster movie Independance Day, Jeff Goldblum creates a computer virus that will destroy the aliens mothership and save humanity. What the film neglects to cover, however, is how you can transfer a computer virus onto an alien spaceship, which doesn't appear to have any visible USB ports.
