4. Road Trip
Road Trip is the 2000 American hit road comedy directed by Todd Phillips. Josh and Tiffany are high school sweethearts who are temporarily separated by their different colleges. When Tiffany doesn't answer Josh's calls he fears the worst; she has found herself another boyfriend (when in fact her poor grandfather just passed away). Filled with anxiety and the wrong kind of encouragement from his friends Josh hooks up with the sexy blonde Beth. As if this wasnt enough he also tapes their sexcapade and accidentally sends it to Tiffany. A rescue mission ensues where Josh riles up his pals to get to Tiffany before that wretched tape does.
Where are they going? Their trip spans over 1800 miles in a car that belongs to Joshs dweeby mate Kyle. Theres a nice bit of cross referencing with American Pie as one of our journeymen is Sean William Scott. The trip is fraught with hilarious adventures, they donate sperm for cash and some not so hilarious, try and convince an African-American fraternity that they are members. Their mode of transport changes when the car blows up after they attempt to jump a river but all is not lost, our boys manage to steal a bus from a blind woman and the journey continues. Unfortunately this is not a mission accomplished for Josh but perhaps hes better of as he returns to Beth for some more naughty home videos.
