10 Awesome Star Wars: Duel Of The Fates Moments We'll Never Get To See
7. Tor Valum
Remember that wonderful time before J.J. Abrams burned the image of Palpatine pro-creating into your brain forever? Colin Trevorrow would have kept it this way. While the big bad of the franchise would have appeared in the Duel of the Fates, it would have been nothing more than an old hologram.
Kylo Ren would have found this hologram, an old message directed at Darth Vader, instructing him to take Luke Skywalker to a planet called Remnicore, to meet with Palpatine's old master, Tor Valum. Upon seeing the message, Kylo heads to Remnicore to confront the old Sith Lord.
Valum would have been something of a completely unique character, unlike anything we've seen in the franchise before. The 7000-year-old, six-eyed, sinewy alien looks to have been incredibly intimidating. Since Valum looks so fragile, seemingly with unprotected tendons and ligaments on show, his entire power would have come from the force, not from any kind of physical prowess. The two meet each other, and after discussing the full power of the force and the almost limitless strength Kylo could achieve, they begin training.
The badass new power Kylo is taught by his new master is the power to literally drain the life force out of any living being. This would have a huge role to play before the end of the movie. Ultimately, after learning everything he can, Kylo kills Tor Valum and continues his personal quest for power, following his path that would ultimately lead to Rey.
