10 Awesome Superhero Film Moments For When Marvel Owns Everything
7. Wolverine Vs. Hulk
The final panel of Incredible Hulk #180 presents one of the most famous moments in comic book history when Hulk is confronted by a brand new character named Wolverine. Wolverine, of course, would go on to be one of Marvels most popular properties, and Fox has produced two movies featuring the character (not to mention Wolvies prominent role in the original X-Men trilogy and the upcoming Days of Future Past). While weve already (sadly) been treated to a Wolverine Origins film courtesy of Fox, a combined cinematic universe would allow Hollywood to adapt the very first appearance of Mr. Logan in a movie that would also star the green-skinned Hulk (a Marvel Studios property). Or, if producers want to find an even better comic book storyline to adapt cinematically, theres always Incredible Hulk #340, from the famed Peter David/Todd McFarlane run, which depicts the Grey Hulk getting his guts ripped out by Wolverine, only to heal and continue the knockdown, drag-out brawl. Either way, in addition to providing yet another cinematic vehicle for Wolverine (though, with a younger version of the character, maybe it would be time to cast someone other than Hugh Jackman), these stories could potentially provide a worthwhile Hulk experience on the big screen. Considering how Hulk's two solo movies were so negatively/tepidly received by fans and critics, the guaranteed presence of the ultra-popular Wolverine might be the only way to bring people into the theatre for a third solo Hulk adventure.
