10 Awesome Train Wreck Scenes In Films That Are TOTAL Train Wrecks

8. Broken Arrow - Bomb On The Train

Broken Arrow is such a complex film experience to describe because if you haven't seen it I both envy you and don't envy you at the same time. Let me explain, the whole film is utter trash but the final scene between Christian Slater and John Travolta is, and I'm not over dramatising this, ONE OF THE GREATEST FIGHT SCENES IN THE HISTORY OF CINEMA.

Directed by Jon Woo and scored by Hans Zimmer, Broken Arrow was released in 1996 to huge box office success making $150 million off of a $50 million budget. Although it was popular in the cinema, it failed to convince criticsm despite great performances by John Travolta and Christian Slater. Travolta pulls off a great performance as a man on the edge which I think is better than his performance in Face/Off which came out only a year later.

Despite the impressive score, the movie fails to achieve any sort of depth and is a bit of a mess plot wise but seeing Slater simultaneously disarm and fire a nuclear weapon into Travolta's chest as the train blows up, is worth persevering through the rest of the movie for.
