Wolverine is the best at what he does, but what he does doesn't always involve a huge fight scene.

In Ultimate X-Men Vol 1, 41, a teenage boy's mutant power manifest. Unfortunately, that power is to incinerate everything around him, causing him to accidentally kill his friends, family and hundreds of bystanders.

Wolverine is sent to find him and manages to track the boy to a cave in the mountains. Thanks to his healing factor, Logan is immune to the boy's powers and the two talk. As the boy breaks down in tears, Wolverine lets him know that what happened isn't his fault, it all just came down to bad luck.

There's no way the boy can ever be around people again. As long as he's alive he's a danger to the rest of the world and so it's clear what Wolverine's purpose there is. He stays with the boy through the night and, the next morning, Logan leaves the cave alone.

It's a great character moment for Logan, showing that he is willing to take on the dirty jobs that need to be done so that others won't have to live with the burden of their terrible actions. It also shows that beneath his gruff exterior, is a guy who tried to comfort a kid during his final moments.
