10 Awful 2015 Movies That Deserved To Bomb At The Box Office
4. Jem & The Holograms
Budget: $5 million Box Office: $2.3 million (46%) It says a lot about a movie aimed at the tween crowd when it can't even recoup a mere $5 million, and to add insult to injury, it also had not just the worst opening of 2015, but also the fourth worst opening ever for a film playing in more than 2,000 theaters, resulting in it being pulled out of cinemas just two weeks after release. Though the young actresses do their best to make this wildly unnecessary update of the classic 80s animated series work, it's too long, too dull and bears little in common with its namesake, cynically using the Jem brand to try and sell more tickets. All the social media references are howlingly awful, it doesn't know what it wants to be, and is surely the worst movie to ever feature cameos from both Dwayne Johnson and Chris Pratt (yes, really).
