10 Awful 2015 Movies That Deserved To Bomb At The Box Office
5. Aloha
Budget: $37 million Box Office: $26.3 million (71.1%) Though fairly modestly-budgeted for a movie starring the likes of Bradley Cooper, Rachel McAdams, Emma Stone, Alec Baldwin and Bill Murray among others, there's no such thing as "modestly budgeted" when your movie is half a romantic dramedy, and half a movie about a... satellite launch? The writing was on the wall long before Cameron Crowe's latest bust hit cinemas: when Sony was hacked near the end of 2014, an e-mail leaked in which Sony exec Amy Pascal said of the movie, "It never, not even once, works." Pascal, to her credit, was bang on the money, as the movie just couldn't strike a consistent tone, felt dramatically all over the place, and failed to make remotely decent use of its stupendous cast. It sucks that someone as talented as Crowe is in such a creative funk right now, but there's no way this mess deserved to succeed.
