10 Awful 2017 Horror Movies To Avoid This Halloween

8. Don't Knock Twice

Katee Sackhoff gives a solid performance in an otherwise terrible movie that just doesn't deserve her committed work, because this is a most formulaic haunted house horror you've seen dozens of times before.

The only movie on this list to somehow get its own (horrendous) video game despite going direct-to-VOD in most territories, Don't Knock Twice is overstuffed with melodrama, woefully predictable and full of jump scares you'll see coming a mile off.

Any attempt by the movie to be a "classy" horror film eventually goes out the window during its bonkers (yet still weirdly dull) third act, but whether it's trying to be a character drama or a more conventional horror, it's just a chore to sit through, even with Sackhoff's decent effort.
