10 Awful Comic Book Movies That Would Actually Benefit From A Reboot

Timecop may be one of the better and more successful movies of Jean-Claude Van Damme's entire career, but that isn't really saying much when his output is largely characterized by bargain-basement actioners that head straight to the genre's overcrowded home video market.

The movie adaptation of Timecop was in theaters just two years after the concept had first appeared in the pages of Dark Horse Comics in the summer of 1992, and while it remains a cult favorite to this day, there's still so much more that could have been done with the concept, making it an ideal candidate for the reboot treatment.

With the right creative talent assembled and a decent-sized budget to make it work, a new version of Timecop could turn out to be a massive hit. An action-packed thriller with a heavy reliance on black market time-travel, alternate realities and the means to visit countless different periods in history is far too good a concept to be left as the subject of a mediocre JCVD vehicle and nothing else.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
