10 Awful Comic Book Movies That Would Actually Benefit From A Reboot

5. Bulletproof Monk

Bulletproof Monk's title alone was ten times better than the entire movie turned out to be, and it ended up with the unwanted distinction of being one of the most forgettable comic book adaptations during a time when even the most obscure properties were landing on our screens with alarming regularity.

Despite the presence of John Woo as producer, Bulletproof Monk failed to live up to where the obvious influences were supposed to be coming from. Chow Yun-fat sleepwalked his way through yet another one of his disappointing Hollywood adventures alongside Seann William-Scott playing the same character that he always did during the height of his early-2000s popularity.

A fantasy-driven comic book movie inspired by Hong Kong action cinema that involves local gangs, secret agents and even Nazis hunting for a mystical scroll isn't the worst idea on paper, and if the right director for the material was found and they cast someone like Donnie Yen in the lead role, then we could really be onto something.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
