10 Awful Comic Book Movies That Would Actually Benefit From A Reboot

4. Jonah Hex

Jonah Hex has gone down in infamy as one of the worst comic book movies ever made, and failed to even reach $11m at the box office as it quickly sank without a trace and faded from our collective memories in almost record time.

A good old-fashioned revenge-driven Western is always worth a watch when done right, and this one had the added curiosity factor of a script from the minds behind the demented Crank series and a stacked cast that saw Josh Brolin's title character backed by John Malkovich and Will Arnett, along with Michaels Shannon and Fassbender. Megan Fox was also there, but her presence in any movie hasn't exactly been an indicator of quality.

Despite how badly they f*cked it up the first time around, Jonah Hex could still be the subject of a great movie. Westerns that focus on a grizzled, cynical and world-weary bounty hunting antihero with a penchant for violence that nonetheless finds himself bound to a strict code of honor are never going to go out of fashion, and there's almost half a century of comic book storylines that could be prospected for cinematic gold.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
