One of a slew of straight-to-video sequels that, by all accounts, should never have been made (see also: American Psycho II: All American Girl, Lost Boys: The Tribe), The Crow: Wicked Prayer attempts to springboard off the success of the standalone cult gem that spawned it.

This feature brings to the screen an off-the-boil Edward Furlong in the titular role, but with a new character, Jimmy Cuervo - Brandon Lee's iconic Eric Draven be damned and long since forgotten. Surprisingly, this is the fourth entry in The Crow series, but, unsurprisingly, it is (as of yet) the last.

Starring Buffy's very own Angel as the film's antagonist, Wicked Prayer attempts to capitalise on David Boreanaz's sexy, moody, soft-horror appeal, casting him as a Satanist - subtly nicknamed "Death". Boreanaz's character murders Cuervo and his girlfriend, the former of whom is brought back by the spirit of justice to put an end to this gang of ne'er-do-wells.

For reasons we may never know, Dennis Hopper also co-stars, but for reasons we know too well, so does Danny Trejo - because what straight-to-video B-movie horror-thriller has Danny Trejo not been in?
