10 Awful Films Game Of Thrones Actors Want Us To Forget
5. Maisie Williams - The Book Of Love
Unfortunately for Maisie Williams, this project would not be the ultimate indie darling that it was intended to be.
The story tells of Henry, a man who has just recently lost the love of his life in a car accident. Her last dying wish is for him to help a teenage runaway that she saw only once and didn't even speak to. This implausible relationship ends up becoming the centre-point of the film as Henry attempts to help the young Millie build a raft to sail to the Atlantic Ocean.
The movie tries so hard to make you care and fall into its overly pushed emotional moments but fails thanks to the fact that nothing in it seems genuine or honest. It continually gives off this vibe of trying too hard to be profound but never manages to deliver on anything nuanced.
Finally, whilst Williams does okay at times, and her casting in the role seems inspired, her accent work as a New Orleans native is very strained, and she never delivers anything that resembles charm. The actor is capable of much better and thus won't want you remembering this failed attempt.
