10 Awful Films Game Of Thrones Actors Want Us To Forget
2. Kit Harrington - Silent Hill Revelations
We return now to the world of Silent Hill, in a movie that somehow did an even worse job of adapting the legendary game series than its predecessor.
The first film took the mainline narrative of the first game - albeit with names and characters switched - with a mother searching for her daughter in the strange town of Silent Hill. Revelations is an attempt to adapt the third game, with Heather Mason as our lead protagonist.
This is not a good movie, and that is evidenced by its poor script, ugly visuals and general lack of scares. While the first outing attempts to give you something genuinely creepy, this one throws atmosphere out of the window and focusses instead on action, poor 3D and loudness.
Kit Harrington is introduced as a romantic angle for Heather and a companion on her journey to find her father - played by Sean Bean. But secrets about his real identity end up causing a rift between them. The film is bad enough, but his performance is genuinely very flawed, with a terrible attempt at an American accent and this constant sense of uninterest.
He wasn't always perfect in GOT but flew by pretty well, however, here his lack of charisma is fully exposed.
