10 Awful Films Glee Actors Want Us To Forget
5. Revenge Of The Green Dragons (2014) - Harry Shum Jr.
Revenge Of The Green Dragons is a crime drama, based on a true story about Asian-American gang life in New York City, within the 1980s and 1990s. Martin Scorsese has his name associated with the picture as one of the producers, whilst Ray Liotta stars as one of the supporting roles. On this basis, it sounds like Revenge Of The Green Dragons could be a contender for a fantastic crime thriller within modern cinema. And yet, it all went horribly wrong...In every way conceivable.
Instead of paying homage to all the greatest mob movies, Revenge of the Green Dragons just falls into so many cliches that make it seem unoriginal and bland. The acting is extremely poor - even Liotta seems uninterested in his part. The cinematography is also distractingly bad as the editors rely heavily on slow motion, making the overall asthetic seem choppy and uneven.
It's just a real shame that the producers of this film took a very interesting part of Asian American history and skewered it down to a 90 minute thriller, that was completely rushed and devoid of weighty drama.
