10 Awful Films Harry Potter Actors Want Us To Forget
5. A Babysitter's Guide To Monster Hunting - Tom Felton
Tom Felton's look in this movie is pretty ironic, as he appears like the future Draco would have had if he'd become a death eater. But, this sense of fun and evil gets a little lost in translation in this performance as a literal Boogeyman.
The narrative here follows a young girl called Kelly, who gets sucked into a world of monsters and villains after a child she's babysitting gets stolen by The Boogeyman. She soon uncovers a society of babysitters who fight such beasts and vows to save the kid.
As far as children's movies go, it's about what you'd expect. The visuals are vibrant but not convincing, and the same can be said about the acting. It's also got that sense of soullessness that comes with every Netflix adaptation.
Felton certainly does his best to come across like a scary monster, but it's awkwardly funny as he has a softness and charm that clearly isn't what he's going for. Felton's far better at playing stoic and believable characters, so watching his attempts to chew the scenery feels about as out of place as Malfoy being sorted into Hufflepuff.
