10 Awful Films Harry Potter Actors Want Us To Forget

4. Victor Frankenstein - Daniel Radcliffe

The Bling Ring
20th Century Fox

As the titular character of the series, it seemed like Daniel Radcliffe would never escape the name Harry Potter. Well, that is true to some degree, but much to many people's surprise, Radcliffe has done a decent job of carving out a new direction for his career and finding success outside of the Wizarding World. Victor Frankenstein, however, is not a good example of that.

You might be able to guess that this is a movie about Frankenstein from the title. But, this time, it comes from the perspective of his assistant Igor (Radcliffe), who works with Victor, seeing him go from a young student to a creator of life.

Adaptations of Frankenstein are a dime a dozen, as Mary Shelley's original tale is so iconic. This one claimed that it would tell the story differently, with a new perspective, but this claim turned out to be an exaggeration as it tells the same tale, and does very little to develop either Victor or Igor.

The rather ugly, gritty aesthetic strips the tale of its gothic legacy and turns it into a bland "character study" that does nothing for Radcliffe or lead James McAvoy.
