10 Awful Films Harry Potter Actors Want Us To Forget

3. The Bling Ring - Emma Watson

It's a well-known adage that child stars often try to spice their images up after entering adulthood in an effort to step away from the images audiences have of them. There have been times where this has worked very well, but in the case of Emma Watson, the same cannot be said.

The Bling Ring told the real-life story of a group of fame-obsessed teens who tracked celebrities' whereabouts and proceeded to rob their homes. It was based on a Vanity Fair article called "The Suspect Wore Louboutins" and seemed like a good idea on paper. But, it fell flat in execution.

While the film paints itself as a guise for social commentary, it comes across as nothing but a shallow thief story. The characters are tough to get behind, as their vanity makes them unlikeable instead of just flawed. It's a good looking film that tries to distract you from its lack of substance with decent visuals, but is ultimately a nothing movie.

Watson's performance is a stand-out aspect of the film, as she does a solid job. It's just a shame that this ability to stray away from Hermione came in such a lacklustre film. Seeing as she's so selective about the projects she takes part in, you've got to believe she wants to move past this one.
