10 Awful Films The Lord Of The Rings Actors Want You To Forget

9. Orlando Bloom (Legolas) - The Calcium Kid

One of the most beloved characters in The Lord of the Rings trilogy is the badass Elven archer, Legolas Greenleaf, portrayed by British performer, Orlando Bloom.

Being a young handsome actor with the face of a leading man, it wasn't much of a surprise when Bloom seemed to pop up in everything. He was very lucky since many of his early movies like Ned Kelly, Kingdom of Heaven, and Pirates of the Caribbean did well critically and financially.

With one exception: The Calcium Kid.

In this mockumentary-styled comedy, Bloom plays Jimmy Connelly, a milkman who works part-time as a boxer's sparring partner. When he accidentally breaks his opponent's hand, Connelly is forced to take his position in a match against the world boxing champion.

The cast may boast a lot of great comedians like Michael Pena, Mark Heap, and Omid Djalili but the laughs are nowhere to be seen. Due to unlikeable characters, a lack of directorial focus, slow scenes, and a wooden performance from Bloom, it's no surprise why The Calcium Kid currently has a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
