10 Awful Movies Dexter Actors Want Us To Forget

5. Skyline - David Zayas (Angel Batista)

In the 2010s, the alien invasion subgenre made a comeback with films like Cowboys & Aliens, Battle: Los Angeles, Battleship, and Independence Day: Resurgence. But all these sci-fi flicks had another thing in common - they sucked.

However, one of the worst alien invasion blockbusters during this period has to be Skyline. After extra-terrestrial ships appear above LA and commit a mass abduction, a small group of survivors band together to survive. By no means an original concept, Skyline could still work if it had some creative direction or a few memorable characters. Sadly, the film feels derivative of far superior sci-fi movies like War of the Worlds or Independence Day.

David Zayas, who plays Batista in Dexter, portrays a survivor called Oliver in this film. Although he has some generic dialogue, he's very solid in the role and maintains the urgency of the situation that the characters are in. Sadly, it's not enough to save the movie. Skyline turned out so badly, it's no surprise that the sibling directors, Greg and Colin Strause, never directed a feature ever again.
