10 Awful Movies Dexter Actors Want Us To Forget
4. The Unborn - CS Lee (Vince Masuka) + James Remar (Harry Morgan)
Because David S. Goyer wrote the script for Blade, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, he's hailed as a major influence for revitalising the superhero genre during the millennium. But despite his talent for writing, he's never directed a single good movie! Blade: Trinity was embarrassing, The Invisible was forgettable, and The Unborn was... well... let's have a look.
After Casey starts having nightmares about a sinister boy, she goes to her doctor, played by CS Lee. By speaking to the physician, Casey learns she had a twin who died in her mother's womb. After talking to her father, played by James Remar, she suspects she's being haunted by her brother's spirit.
Despite an all-star cast including Gary Oldman, Idris Elba, Carla Gugino, Rachel Brosnahan, and two Dexter actors, The Unborn is, at best, underwhelming and, at worst, cringeworthy. The excessive jump scares are so relentless, they come across as unintentionally hilarious. Despite the chilling premise and R-rating, the scares here are tame enough to warrant a PG-13. The only thing this film proves is that David S. Goyer should just focus on writing since his talent in directing is highly questionable.
