10 Awful Movies Peaky Blinders Actors Want You To Forget

4. Finn Cole (Michael Gray) - Slaughterhouse Rulez

In Slaughterhouse Rulez, a working class teen called Donald (played by Finn Cole) is having trouble fitting in after enrolling in a public school. Even though the Headmaster is welcoming to the students, they're a bit suspicious since a pupil recently took his own life and the school is located beside a sinkhole that harbours hundreds of subterranean monsters.

With a fantastically wacky set-up like that, you'd assume Slaughterhouse Rulez would be entertaining. And with an excellent cast featuring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Michael Sheen, there's no reason why you'd expect anything less than comedy gold.

However, Slaughterhouse Rulez is a mess. Even though the film tries to be a comedy and a horror, it doesn't work as neither. Now, that's not suggesting the two genres can't co-exist. American Psycho, From Dusk Till Dawn and Shaun of the Dead are three films that juggle these genres perfectly, but in Slaughterhouse Rules the horror isn't scary and the comedy isn't funny.

Although Finn Cole plays his part well, it's a shame the young actor's first lead role in a movie wasn't in something a bit better.
