10 Awful Movies Sons Of Anarchy Actors Want Us To Forget
9. Kim Coates – Resident Evil: Afterlife
Somehow, there are six Resident Evil movies in existence, with the franchise set to be rebooted for a seventh in 2021 almost 20 years after Paul W.S. Anderson first adapted Capcom’s iconic series of survival horror games to the screen for the first time.
Each of these have received a horrendous critical reception, with scores ranging from 20% to just 37% on RottenTomatoes. Commercial returns on the other hand have been much better, with each making its budget back at least three times over. This enabled Anderson and his directorial counterparts on the second and third movies (where he solely took a screenwriting role) to continuously recruit respectable supporting actors to fill the shoes of some of gaming icons and original characters alike.
Kim Coates was one such recruit, playing a disposable henchman to series big bad Albert Wesker in Resident Evil: Afterlife. Though he has made a career out of playing unlikeable antagonists, his Sons of Anarchy role as Tig Trager notwithstanding give that his initial despicability is eventually eroded by a deep and redemptive arc, few of his roles have ever been as one-dimensional.
