10 Awful Movies Sons Of Anarchy Actors Want Us To Forget

2. Ron Perlman – The Scorpion King 3: Battle For Redemption

Ron Perlman is undoubtably a fantastic performer and cult icon, but he really has lent his talents to some utter tosh over the years, having at least three or four schlocky b-movies on his record for every one of his storied collaborations with Guillermo Del Toro.

These include an Uwe Boll monstrosity, the infamous Island Of Dr. Moreau that saw Marlon Brando insist on wearing an ice bucket on his head and the seventh entry in the Police Academy franchise, Mission To Moscow.

His appearances in direct-to-video/streaming productions have ramped up massively since his departure from Sons of Anarchy, where his burly and gruff demeanour gave gravitas to the role of Jax's substitute father figure/foil Clay Morrow. Such films probably keep his bank balance healthy, but have to be painful to make, with Pottersville and Run With The Hunted amongst those holding the dubious honour of having a 0% score on RottenTomatoes.

The Scorpion King 3 sticks out, however, given that he chose to appear in it fresh on the back of his appearance in modern classic Drive. It was the second (out of four, shockingly) follow-ups to what was a questionable spin-off of a middling franchise to begin with. When a film is shot in Thailand with bad CGI to represent Egypt and filming is continuously interrupted by tourists walked into scenes because proper filming arrangements hadn't been made, surely you’d be calling your agent and asking questions…
