9. Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (1995)
A stunning and poignant coming-of-age drama in which six teenagers hook up with some babe to learn the art of "Ninjetti" so they can fight off Ivan Ooze before he does something or other. Many consider this to be director Bryan Spicer's masterpiece, although he later went on to direct episodes of Prison Break, 24 and House, which I've heard are OK. Another bold feature of the movie was that it used "100% original material", instead of doing what they usually did for the TV counterpart, which was just steal the coolest clips from the Japanese version of the show. It may have been "just for kids", but the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers movie managed to transcend the boundaries of age to become something truly special. No wait, not special... I mean atrocious.
