10 Awful Movies That Wasted An A-List Cast

4. Ocean's Twelve

Ocean's Eleven remains one of the best remakes ever, and showcased the correct way to utilize a cast packed to bursting point with A-list names. The sequel failed spectacularly to recapture the magic, and became self-indulgent to the point of nearly disappearing up its own a*se.

Roping in Bruce Willis to cameo must have seemed like a good idea on paper, but the meta scene in which he crosses paths with Julia Roberts is nothing short of awful, and almost sinks an entire movie that was already treading water. The plot was already tying itself into knots without having to resort to breaking the fourth wall, and Ocean's Twelve never again recovers any momentum.

Clooney, Damon, Pitt and the rest of the gang no doubt enjoyed their second jaunt as much as newcomers Catherine Zeta-Jones, Vincent Cassel and Eddie Izzard, but audiences didn't have anywhere near as much fun having to endure two hours of thinly-veiled back-slapping.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
