10 Awful Movies Vikings Actors Want Us To Forget
2. Travis Fimmel (Ragnar Lothbrok) - Needle
Before he played the lead role in Vikings, Travis Fimmel had a starring role in a 2010 slasher called Needle. The horror flick centres around a supernatural box called Le Vaudou Mort that kills people. If that sounds suspiciously like Hellraiser, it's not a coincidence, as the director admitted the story is based on Clive Barker's Hellraiser series.
If a photograph of a person is placed in Le Vaudou Mort, it will create a voodoo doll with their likeness. If the wax figure is stabbed with a needle, the person it represents will instantly suffer the same injury. Since the box belonged to the father of Fimmel's character, he does everything in his power to learn the origin of Le Vaudou Fort so he could put a stop to its evil.
The story has an interesting premise and Fimmel is naturally charming in the role but there is only so much an actor can do when they are trapped in a schlocky B-movie. Poor editing, predictable twists, and lame dialogue makes Needle a 90-minute snooze-fest. Apart from Fimmel's performance, Needle has little to offer.
