10 Awkward Movie Moments That Must Have Happened Off-Screen

7. Life After The Game - The Longest Yard

The Longest Yard is a story in which Paul Crewe and the inmates of Allenville Prison stand up and fight back against the warden and the guards that treat them so poorly on a daily basis. It's about finally getting to win for once, and that is exactly what they do.

Though Paul originally has a tough time getting a team together, the pieces of the puzzle start to fall into place. They have a genuinely decent team, and after Caretaker's death, they have something more meaningful to fight for than just beating up the guards.

Mean Machine were there just to take a pounding, but they come together and actually win, but to Warden Hazen, this was so much more than just a game. He was completely humiliated when he lost to Crewe and co., so just imagine the consequences coming the way of the players.

They may have had their day in the sun, and could celebrate their win for a night, but the next day they went back to the same old routine of being under the rule and thumb of the warden and his guards.

You can just picture an inmate being sent to the hot box for a week for the simplest of things, but obviously, the movie was never going to show this after the high of their big win.
