2. The Alien Queen - Alien Series
The Mother of all Baddies, the one and the only Alien Queen. We're talking about a woman (albeit, an insectile, not of this world, woman) who spits acid, has a blade tipped tail, has two sets of teeth because of her pharyngeal jaw, is 4.5 metres to 6 metres tall and rips off her own ovipositor (egg laying organ) to pursue the broad that burns her children alive.
Additionally, according to the lore of Aliens, the Queen Aliens eggs don't have to be fertilised, so she can reproduce unchecked. She also isn't afraid to run across frozen, hellish tundra and attack anything in her way, whether it be humans, Predators or water towers. Furthermore, it can be argued that the Predalien of Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem was a Queen as well, because of its ability to impregnate female hosts with the gross little Bellybursters using its toothy pharyngeal proboscis, not a face-hugger.
No matter which way you look at it, all of those specifics qualify as powerful, intimidating and formidable, just in case an invasion of aliens isn't horrifying enough.
