10 Badass Female Horror Villains
3. Julia Blood On The Mattress Cotton - Hellraiser Series
Julia Cotton is a character in both Hellraiser and Hellbound, played by Clare Higgins. In the first movie, Julia seduces and lures men to her attic so that Frank, brother of her husband with whom she had an affair, can murder and feast on the bodies in order to resurrect himself from Hell. Eventually, when Frank steals his brothers skin, he and Julia engage in sexual fire and brimstone and then try to kill Kirsty, Julia's stepdaughter.
Julia, obviously hellbound and dead at the end of the first film, is released from hell in the second movie by the clearly mentally deficient Doctor Channard. She returns to Earth, fleshless, and the cycle starts over. Once she has skin again, the space cadet Doctor Channard is shocked to find out that Julia made a deal with Leviathan. Will this woman stop at nothing to get her way?
So, poor Doctor Channard gets hurled into a Cenobite Transformation Chamber and Julia gets busy chasing children, including her now former stepdaughter, Kirsty, only to be sucked away into Hell, leaving her skin behind.
If you've seen this film, you know that skin comes in handy for Kirsty soon after. Julia was such a tough cookie that Hellraiser creator, Clive Barker, actually intended for her to be a female slasher villain, but those plans were changed due to the rise in popularity of Pinhead.
