Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx, star of movies like Django Unchained, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and Collateral, also proved he had the courage to be a real world life-saver just a couple of years ago.
When a pickup truck crashed and burst into flames outside Foxx's California home, the actor rushed outside to see what he could do to help. The vehicle was being driven by 32-year-old Brett Kyle, who had been drinking. As it crashed, the truck had flipped over several times and landed on its side.
Foxx, aided by an off-duty emergency worker who was passing by at the time, managed to cut Kyle's seat belt and free him from the blaze. When asked about the incident, Foxx said he didn't think of himself as a hero but knew he had to do something. The driver was arrested and charged with a DUI, but Foxx met up with his dad, who was evidently very grateful to the actor for potentially saving his son's life.
