10 Batman Movie Villains Reimagined For The DCEU
3. Conflicted Two-Face
The rebooted Batman universe will need a Harvey Dent at some point, but with Aaron Eckhart relatively fresh in everyone's minds, going full Two-Face is premature.
That said, there's no reason why Dent shouldn't show his face (the unscarred version) in The Batman to tease his eventual transition to coin-flipping villainy.
Again, the DC Extended Universe calls for a middle ground between Eckhart's believable Two-Face and Tommy Lee Jones's pantomime villain from Batman Forever.
Neither of those versions really focuses on the inner turmoil of a good man gone bad. The Schumacher incanrnation is an out-and-out villain, and post-disfigurement Eckhart never really looks back.
This presents an opportunity for the DCEU's Two-Face to offer a more complex take on the character, a tortured soul with a split personality.
It's a shame Josh Brolin will be bolted to the Marvel camp for the foreseeable future, because he has the ball-breaking hard-edge and screen presence to pass for an older Harvey Dent, as well as the rugged good looks.
