10 Batman Stories That Should Be Adapted Into Animated Films

9. The Return Of Bruce Wayne

Returnofbrucewayne The Return of Bruce Wayne was another limited series, which was published from May 2010 to November 2010, written by Grant Morrison. The series picks up where Final Crisis left off, which ended with Darkseid sending Bruce to the distant past. The story was composed of six issues, each taking place in a different time period. Bruce is forced to overcome amnesia and travel back through time to the present day to retake his place as Batman. Time travel is always an interesting narrative to explore, and one that we haven't seen much of in superhero cinema. This story would be incredibly fun to see on screen, because of the variations to Batman's iconic imagery through time, and how he adapts to each period, often operating more on instinct than actual knowledge. The time periods the story depicts are: prehistory, witch-hunts, pirates at sea, the wild west, the noir era, and present day.
