8. Son Of The Demon
The graphic novel Batman: Son of the Demon was written by Mike W. Barr and illustrated by Jerry Bingham in 1987. It was originally published as an "Elseworlds" story, until Grant Morrison used the story in his "Batman & Son" arc in 2006. When Batman investigates the murder of one of Gotham's most prominent scientists, he's forced to team up with Ra's al Ghul to find and stop the terrorist responsible. Son of the Demon also features Batman's marriage to Talia al Ghul, who quickly becomes pregnant with his child. It focuses on how becoming a father impacts Bruce and his need to be Batman, and is ranked #7 on IGN's list of 25 Greatest Batman Graphic Novels, which they called "the best Ra's story ever told." Because of how much this story affects the Batman continuity later in comics (throughout much of Grant Morrison's run), it's certainly deserving of an adaptation.
