10 Batman Stories That Should Be Adapted Into Animated Films

7. Batman: Gothic

Gothic Gothic was a comic storyline written by Grant Morrison, illustrated by Klaus Janson, that ran from April to August 1990. The story revolves around Gotham's mobs turning to Batman for help, after a killer known as "Mr. Whisper" begins hunting and killing mob bosses one by one. During the investigation, Batman finds that Mr. Whisper is linked to a hideous event from his school days and the Gotham City Cathedral. The story is part detective thriller, part horror story, and Morrison finds a perfect way to insert religion into the Batman mythos and give an interesting glimpse into Bruce's childhood that we haven't seen before.
