RT Rating: 18% Given the success of the original Monsters, its something of a travesty that a sequel was ever allowed, let alone one that would end up being largely released to VOD. Unfortunately, Gareth Edwards wasnt really available to do anything from his executive producers chair, so new writer/director Tom Green was given free reign to make whatever film he wanted as long as it had monsters in. A hearty congratulations must go to the idiot who told him that, as he sucked out everything that made Edwards original bold and thought provoking and replaced it with tired war cliches. And the monsters arent even in it that much, so the only bloody guidance was basically ignored.
