10 Best & 10 Worst Horror Movies Of 2015

2. It Follows

RT Rating: 97% Rightly considered by critics to be among the very best films of the year, the success of It Follows is very much a case of a genius premise done absolutely brilliantly, thanks to the skill of director David Robert Mitchell. The idea of a curse that passes on through sexual contact doesn't feel particularly fresh, but the gut-wrenchingly creepy pay-off that the "infected" are slowly followed by strange supernatural figures until caught and killed is irresistible. It's like Mitchell reached into the collective minds of horror fans everywhere and picked out to innate terrors to bind together. The film's technical aspects also match the simple, elegant story-telling, and the acting is the kind you show to people who tend to sneer at horror acting.
